September 2021 Memory Verse

August 27, 2021 By gsbcadmin

6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

~1 John 1:6-9

1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

~ Psalm 31:1-3

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

~Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV)

April 2021 Memory Verse

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven  golden candlesticks;13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the  Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a  golden girdle.14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and  his eyes were as a flame of fire;15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned  in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.16 And he had in his right  hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his  countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.17 And when I saw him, I fell at  his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am  the first and the last:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for  evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

~ Revelation 1:12-18 (KJV)

March 2021 Memory Verse

1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2When the wicked, even mine  enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3Though an  host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me,  in this will I be confident. 4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I  may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD,  and to enquire in his temple.

~Psalm 27:1-4

  • Making Disciples for Christ
Early in the basketball season, the coach at our neighborhood middle school seemed to work hardest convincing his players to risk shooting the ball. “Shoot!” he pleaded from the sidelines. His players eagerly passed the ball. Dribbling was a favorite too. The season was half over before most of them would shed their doubts and […]
